About The Owner
Greg Thran is a local resident of Los Angeles County. Born and raised in La Crescenta, CA., Greg was introduced to plants at a very young age by his mother who worked as a plant technician in LA.
"When my parents would travel my brother and I took care of my moms plant accounts and the house plants when we were old enough to stay home alone. The deal was, if we killed her plants we couldn't stay home alone..."
Those chores became his hobby, and after working as an illustrator for 15 years in the entertainment industry Greg turned his background in design to a passion for art and living mediums. And that is how BotanicArts came to be.
Greg has lived in the Conejo Valley for 18 years with his wife and two daughters. There he and his wife own their own businesses and are proud members of the local community.
